Web: Frankfurt EU VPS network connectivity problems

Connectivity to some EU VPS may be degraded due to active ongoing maintenance by our upstream provider. We'll update this post as soon as the maintenance is complete.

  • The network has been stable since our last update so we're considering this to be resolved.

  • EU VPS network connectivity is now stable. We'll continue to monitor.

  • EU VPS customers may see further connectivity issues while our upstream provider is performing emergency maintenance.

  • The maintenance is complete and connectivity to EU VPS remains stable.

  • Connectivity to EU VPS is stable at this time. The maintenance is still in progress so we'll continue to monitor.

    Email: USA US IMAP service performance degraded

    The IMAP service on our US mail system is currently running very slowly. We're working to correct that at this time.

    This is also causing timeouts and errors for users accessing Opalstack webmail, including users of our German mail system.

  • The US IMAP server is back online and is operating normally. We'll be upgrading the server in February to avoid future problems.

  • We've rebooted the US IMAP server and are monitoring.

    Web: San Francisco Opal3 not responding

    opal3.opalstack.com is currently not responding. We'll follow up here when more info is available.

  • The problem was caused by extremely high RAM usage from a process run by a hosting customer. We've notified the customer of the problem and have taken steps to prevent it from happening again.

  • Opal3 is stable after the reboot. We'll update this post when we've determined the cause of the outage.

  • Opal3 is back online after a reboot. The cause of the outage is still under investigation.

  • We're rebooting Opal3 at this time.
