EU network maintenance

Our network provider in Frankfurt will be perfoming maintenance on 23 February 2024 beginning at 23:00 UTC. The maintenance window is expected to last 5 hours.

During the maintenance network connectivity will be interrupted for up to 2 minutes for the following servers:

  • imap2.de.opalstack.com (mailbox storage)
  • mx2.de.opalstack.com (incoming mail exchanger)
  • opal16.opalstack.com (shared web hosting)
  • smtp1.de.opalstack.com (outgoing mail)

The servers and customer web applications will remain running, but applications that make outgoing network connections may experience errors during the period that connectivity is interrupted.

Additionally, when network connectivity is interrupted you may see errors such as "unable to connect" in your web browser, email clients, or other software which connects to the affected servers. If you do, please wait at least 2 minutes and then try again.

Web: London London VPS services offline

All Opalstack VPS located in London are currently offline. We're investigating and will update this post when more info is available.

  • The London VPS service has been stable since our last update.

  • The data center reports that the power issue is resolved. All London VPS services (including the ns2.de.opalstack.com name server) are back online at this time. We will continue to monitor.

  • The problem has been identified as a power issue; the data center team is still working to restore service.

  • Note that our name server ns2.de.opalstack.com is located in the London data center. If your domain uses our DE name servers then you may possibly see intermittent problems accessing your site until this issue is resolved.

  • The London VPS data center has lost connectivity again. The data center is working to restore service.

  • London VPS service is fully restored.

  • Connectivity has been restored while the data center team continues to implement the fix.

  • The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.

  • The London data center has confirmed a loss of connectivity. The investigation is ongoing.
